Tuition & Fees

Below are tuition and fees for Summer 2008. All tuition, fees and other charges are set by the school and subject to change without prior notice. Applicable tuition and fee charges for graduate courses must be paid at the time of registration.

Cost for each two semester hour (one-week) course:

Tuition ($459/credit hour)    $918
Room and Board   $432
Total   $1,350

In addition, you will be responsible for the books for each course. Books cost approximately $125 per course, but the exact amount varies from course to course.

Students taking courses for two consecutive weeks may choose to stay in the apartments for the weekend between the courses. Also, students may stay on campus from Sunday, July 13, 2008 to Friday, July 18, 2008, the week that no courses are offered during the summer. If you enroll in a class the week before and the week after this week off, there is no charge to stay on campus during the week-long break. You will stay in air-conditioned dorms on campus (the third floor of Andrews Hall). You will be on your own for food during that week.

Housing is in the Ashland University apartments. Each room is air conditioned with its own bathroom, and you will share a room with one other participant. The apartments are suites, and there is a living room and a full kitchen for every four people. Students wishing to have a single room will not be housed in the apartments but instead in Ashland University dormitories. The dormitories have common bathrooms on each floor and unfortunately are not air-conditioned.

With 32 hours required for the degree, the total cost of the degree will be approximately $20,700.

Other Fees

Application Fee    $30
Audit Tuition, per semester hour
(half of regular tuition)
  $229
Graduation Fee   $50
Transcript Fee   $4

Fees in general are non-refundable. Tuition is non-refundable in the instance of an unofficial withdrawal. Students who make official withdrawals or reduce their course loads should consult the business office for schedule of refunds. It is the responsibility of the student to obtain and complete withdrawal forms and procedures from the education center where they are enrolled.
