MAHGnum Opus: The Newsletter of the MAHG Program at Ashland University

A Word from the Director
Roger Beckett

While MAHG courses are only held during the summer, the faculty and staff work all year to make those six weeks each June and July successful. As the winter rolls along, the faculty and staff of the MAHG program are busily preparing for your arrival this summer. Your fellow students have also been busy working on thesis and capstone projects. I am pleased to recognize the newest recipient of the MAHG degree, Daniel Droski of Lowell, Michigan.

After six fantastic years as the Director of the MAHG program, I am pleased to announce that Chris Pascarella has taken over as Director of the program. Chris joined the Ashbrook Center over two years ago as the Associate Director of MAHG, and given the twelve years he spent teaching AP United States History, Economics, and American Government, he is the perfect person to lead the program as it continues to grow.

As I turn over the program to his capable hands, I will be joining the effort for the Center's upcoming fundraising campaign, which over the years will benefit the MAHG program in many ways. I'll still be around in the summers, and I look forward to seeing you on campus this summer.

I hope you will join me in congratulating Chris. It has been a pleasure working with and getting to know each of you.
